All booked and ready!
How time flies when it's the holidays. Our flights and hotels are booked. Christmas is right around the corner and my little phone calendar is filling up. Before we know it, we will be leaving. Our total travel time is roughly 34 hours. That includes a layover in Seattle, Newark, Paris & Nairobi (Kenya). We land in Entebbe, Uganda just after midnight. Not the best time to land in a foreign country, but it'll do! I'm feeling a little overwhelmed thinking about the paperwork I need to take, along with the thought of packing and making sure my kids and pets are taken care of while we are gone. Oh and bills. How does one prioritize?! I think I need to make some lists. Maybe I will put, "make lists" on my list.

Court Date. COURT DATE.
That's right, the title says it all. We. have. a. court. date! I was thinking we wouldn't hear anything until the second half of December! As far as we know, our paperwork has only been submitted to court for like 10 or 11 days. That beats the six week average wait by a long shot! Soooooo.... we will be traveling the second week of January. I have SO much to do. :) We are so excited!!!!

Happy Birthday, J!
Happy Birthday to our precious Ugandan girl! She is officially six today. She happens to have the same birthday as one of our sweet little extended family member's, "N-girl". N-girl is one today! I have a special present for N-girl. If you happened to follow along on our previous blog when we thought we would be adopting a 0-2 year old from Ethiopia, you would have seen some cute little shoes that I fell in love with. Check these babies out!
Aren't they so cute!? As cute as they are, they are much too small for a six year old girl. So, happy 1st birthday, N-girl! These shoes will look adorable on your little feet. But it doesn't end here. I went on the hunt for a replacement shoe for J. I think I was pretty successful. The same company made a similar pair two years later. Here they are...

I know the photo makes them look almost the same size, but they are actually nine sizes bigger. So happy birthday to both girls. Hopefully next year we can celebrate in America together.
